Alongside Dying

When someone close to us is coming to the end of their life, our own world begins to shift. Depending on our relationship with the person this time can bring all sorts of feelings, questions and challenges. For those alongside dying the experience of expectations, uncertainty and a sense of time running out can create pressures that may feel unmanageable.

Whatever your relationship, personal support for those alongside dying can mean better care for your own health, reduced isolation and a higher quality of time with your loved one.

Alongside Dying sessions provide a safe, non-judgemental space to be supported in your own experience. You may have a clear sense of what you wish to cover, or feel the need to take a broad approach.

The outline structure below gives a suggested shape to support.

I am not a counsellor or therapist, and do not provide more than three sessions of Alongside Dying support. If you would like longer term specialist support, please see my resources page for signposting.
